One Love: A Handwritten Font for Engaging Brand Campaigns

One Love in a Product Launch Graphic

One Love is a cute and casual handwritten font with an incredibly friendly feel, and it's exactly what I needed when designing the product launch graphic for a seasonal sale. The script’s natural flow and gorgeous swashes added a personal touch that felt authentic and inviting. I used One Love as the main headline text on a bright, bold background to ensure it stood out. The font’s versatility shone through when I paired it with a clean sans serif for supporting copy, creating a balanced visual hierarchy that guided the viewer’s eye smoothly from the headline to the details.

What I loved most was how the cute doodles included in One Love could be subtly integrated into the design—like adding a little heart or star next to the promotional message. This small detail helped elevate the overall look and made the campaign feel more approachable and playful.

One Love for Instagram Posts and Reels Covers

When building a series of Instagram posts for a new online course launch, I turned to One Love again. The font’s friendly personality matched the brand’s tone perfectly. I tested different layouts, using One Love for short captions, callout quotes, and even as part of the post’s visual theme. On mobile screens, where readability can be tricky, I made sure to keep the text size large enough while maintaining the font’s charm.

For the Reels cover, I layered One Love over a soft gradient background. The combination worked well because the script didn’t overpower the visuals but instead complemented them. I also experimented with the ligatures and found that they added a nice flourish without making the text hard to read. It was clear that this font was ideal for short, impactful messages—exactly what social media content needs.

One Love in Digital Ads and Webinar Banners

In a recent digital ad campaign for an online shop promotion, I wanted to stand out in a crowded feed. One Love was the perfect choice for the headline text. Its casual, handwritten style gave the ad a sense of urgency and warmth, which helped increase engagement. I used it sparingly, focusing on key phrases like “Limited Stock” and “Flash Sale,” ensuring that the message was both clear and visually appealing.

For the webinar banner, I paired One Love with a modern sans serif to create contrast and clarity. The result was a professional yet personable design that encouraged clicks. I also considered how the font would appear in dark mode and light mode variations, making sure it remained legible across different platforms and screen types.

One Love for Pinterest Pins and Quote Graphics

Pinterest users often scroll through content quickly, so first impressions matter. When designing pins for a content series, I used One Love for the title and taglines. The font’s cute doodles were especially effective in catching attention, and the overall aesthetic aligned with the platform’s visual culture. I found that pairing One Love with a minimalist layout helped maintain focus on the message while keeping the design fresh and engaging.

For quote graphics, I leaned into the font’s decorative qualities. The swashes and ligatures created a sense of elegance without being too formal, which worked well for motivational quotes and inspirational messages. Each pin had a unique variation of the font, ensuring consistency while still feeling dynamic and creative.

One Love and Readability Considerations

While One Love is incredibly versatile, it’s important to consider its use in different contexts. For long-form text, such as dense paragraphs or informational content, it might not be the best fit due to its stylized nature. However, for short headlines, callouts, and decorative titles, it excels. I recommend using it for display purposes only and pairing it with a clean, readable font for body text to maintain clarity and accessibility.

Additionally, when using One Love on mobile screens or in fast-scrolling feeds, it’s crucial to test the font at various sizes and distances. I’ve found that keeping the text size above 24px helps ensure legibility, even on smaller screens. Dark backgrounds can enhance the visibility of the script, but it’s always good to check how it appears in different lighting conditions.
